Popis: | An electromagnetic study shows that the part of the power of a guided wave propagated by its evanescent field in a low-index superstrate to be probed can be enhanced by adopting a high index increase waveguide technology and by placing the low-index medium as a capillary of reduced width within two guiding parts of the waveguide core. In particular, a waveguide structure achieving sensing and interferometry simultaneously is suggested. |
