Chairs of departments in the US and Canada that offer doctorates in computer science and engineering had their biannual meeting in Snowbird, Utah, July 11-13, 1988. The authors sum up the views expressed at that meeting. The concensus was that the Computing Research Board should take aggressive steps to articulate and represent the needs and opportunities of computing research. > |
