Popis: Wire has been produced for thousands of years by a variety of methods. Strip and block twisting of silver and gold wire resulted in a high-quality jewelry wire, but the drawing process was developed as quantity and strength requirements increased. Historical documents are vague as to when this transformation occurred—the earliest concrete evidence of an accepted drawplate points to the Vikings, but telltale markings left on older wire will fuel the debate for years to come.
