Popis: | Because air pollution had a negative influence on the environment and human health, monitoring its quality has become a necessity. The air quality index is measured on different scales using data collected from devices that are sensitive to 3 up to 8 pollutant agents according to the different national standards. As the forth atmospheric gas in order of concentration, carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), is proven to affect health and productivity, thus monitoring its presence in offices, schools and industrial buildings has become a good practice. The present work describes the design of a cost-effective CO 2 remote monitoring system for indoor use in office buildings, based on the analysis of CO 2 sensors solutions already existing on the market. Experiments with the system were performed in the laboratory and at a several kilometers distance. |
