Popis: Midline cervical cleft (MCC) is a rare congenital anomaly presumed to be caused by failed fusion of branchial arches. This anomaly is typically found in the ventral neck where it causes a cosmetic defect and potential cervical contracture. Here we describe an isolated superiorly located MCC found just inferior to the lower lip in a 6-year-old male. To our knowledge, this is the first description of an isolated MCC in this location. The child was taken to the operating room for surgical excision of the lesion with primary closure yielding an excellent outcome.
