The Connexion by BoeingSM service provides broadband two-way connectivity to airborne platforms via geostationary Ku-band satellite links. The airborne terminal currently deployed consists of a receive and transmit phased array antenna system, a spread spectrum modem, and associated airplane local area network hardware. This paper describes the phased array antenna subsystem being used for current Connexion by BoeingSM installations; the Connexion Block One antenna subsystem. |
