Popis: The complexity of the issue of product innovation and product acceptance requires an integrated view. There is a need for new concepts in which the existing various disciplinary approaches are combined into one integrated, techno-managerial approach. This article presents a conceptual model for translation of consumer preferences and perceptions into desired technologica developments based on a systems analysis. This stepwise approach can be used as a tool to direct strategic investments in product innovation.
