Popis: | A novel hemispherical helical antenna is designed for satellite communications in this paper. This antenna can produce circular polarization radiation over a wide angular coverage of 113°. The input impedance varies very stably in the range of 1 < cλ < 1.15. The 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidth is found to be 13.5% with relatively high gain of 9 dB. The current distribution and radiation pattern will also be presented. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
