Popis: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the role of the channel geometry and architecture of large pore zeolites FAU, BEA, and MOR on the activity, selectivity, and time-on-stream stability in trimethylbenzene transalkylation with toluene to xylenes. The reaction mechanism is strongly controlled by the transport of reactant trimethylbenzenes and tetramethylbenzenes formed during the reaction. The highest yield to xylenes and long-term stability of conversion is achieved with zeolite BEA.
