Popis: Fifty-six black patients with sickle cell trait, who underwent surgical or diagnostic procedures, were matched for medical procedure, type of anesthesia, age, and sex with black subjects with normal hemoglobin. The frequency and types of complications, and length of stay for the two groups were compared. No significant differences between the two groups were observed on the basis of any of these criteria.
