Popis:	Cross sections for the formation of137Cs in the interactions of 16.3 to 19.0 MeV neutrons with lanthanum were measured radiochemically. The major contributing process is the139La(n,3He)137Cs reaction. Hauser-Feshbach calculations on the first chance emission of a3He-particle show that the contributions of statistical processes are negligibly small.
