Popis:	The alkylation of a variety of pyridones and pyrimidones with unactivated olefins in the presence of a Ni(0)—NHC—Lewis acid cocatalyst system proceeds with high linear-to-branched selectivity and moderate to high regioselectivity (towards position 6 of pyridone).
