Popis: | This article presents the experimental studies results of the reinforcement effect with polypropylene fiber (0.5 %, 1 %, and 1.5 %) on the strength (compressive cylinder strength) and deformation (compressive strain) characteristics for expanded clay concrete. The most effective fiber percentage is the content of 1.5 % by weight of the cement mass, based on obtained experimental results. An increase in the compressive cylinder strength (up to 13 %), a significant increase in the value of ultimate compressive strain in concrete (corresponding to the peak stress) of the stress-strain diagram (up to 50 %), and the plastic failure of expanded clay fiber-reinforced concrete is noted. |
