Effect of magnetic field on Fe – Si – Al alloy properties with zero magnetostriction

Popis: | A method and results for a study of the effect of permanent and variable (up to about 1.5 kHz) magnetic fields with intensity H = 0–1050 A/m on internal friction Q –1 and Young’s modulus defect ∆E/E in magnetically-soft alloy of the system Fe – Si – Al (sendast type) with mechanical vibration frequency about 105 Hz are provided. The range of strain rate amplitudes e0 within which Q –1 and ∆E/E are independent of H, and the range where they increase linearly with an increase in S0 over the whole range of change in H are determined. Results obtained are analyzed within the framework of existing relaxation theory and hysteresis mechanism of elastic vibration damping within magnetically soft materials. |
