Composition of OPV Test Module and Examination of Reliability of OPV Test Module

This work is to focus on investigating degradation factor of organic photovoltaic modules. First, we looked for composition of test module, which has suitable moisture barrier, by Ca method. Second, we mounted organic photovoltaic cell in test module and checked whether we could take electric current outside or not. Third, we conducted reliability test on test modules which mount organic photovoltaic cell. We found composition using a cavity glass and two flat glasses connected with encapsulant has high barrier property of 1.5×10-6 g/day against moisture ingress under condition of 85,85%RH using Ca method. For this composition, we can take electric current outside by reducing resistance of wiring. Then, damp heat test, conventional thermal resistance test in air, thermal resistance test under an inert atmosphere were performed. Degradation rate is nearly equal between damp heat test and conventional thermal resistance test in air, and small under thermal resistance test under an inert atmosphere. Degradation factor is thought to be oxygen or products from encapsulant during test.
