| Popis: | As the chemical ecology of insect pests slowly becomes unravelled, new opportunities have arisen to exploit semiochemicals in different ways in order to achieve the goal of managing insect pest problems. The semiochemicals used often differ substantially both in chemical structure and in biological function from lepidopteran sex pheromones. Only a few examples will be offered in this chapter but as time goes on new analytical breakthroughs will produce even more varieties of semiochemicals which will find new uses in IPM. |
