Characterization of Dielectric Anisotropy of Reinforced Substrates at Different Temperatures

Popis: The authors' two-resonator method has been modified for temperature characterization of the reinforced substrates used in the microwave electronics and especially their uni-axial anisotropy (different dielectric constants in parallel and perpendicular directions). The obtained results in the interval -40°C/+70°C are compared with the dependencies for the equivalent dielectric constant when these materials are considered as isotropic substrates. Such information for the anisotropy temperature behavior of three commercial reinforced substrates has been presented for the first time.
