Popis: | This article presents an “Eco-Electricity” application that was created in a visual basic application (VBA) to assess various power plant technology on the basis of their environmental performance. The application uses a quantitative model [1] that incorporates crucial factors that influence different life cycle phases of a power plant. By combining different techniques of the life cycle cost of various power plants, the application determines the power plant capital cost. Also, the application deals with the negative environmental impact of a power plant as a cost. This impact cost will be accountable as power plant expenses. Using the application will assist decision-makers, companies, and governments in reducing the adverse effect of different power plant systems on the environment and society. |
