Popis: | There are a wide variety of products that depend on a Pressure- Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) for their ability to function. These products have varying degrees of complexity, which are usually determined by the sophistication of their end use. In general, increased complexity of use requires higher levels of complexity in the manufacturing and converting of the product. The examples that are used to illustrate the interactions between product functional expectations, raw materials, and processes are centered around the medical products family of PSA materials. The design philosophy and process technology exemplified in my discussion of this product group are common to most other PSA-based constructions. |
