This qualitative study has been carried out after an experimental study that has revealed a significant effect of a psychoeducational intervention (pre-registration of that study can be found here: https://osf.io/q68df/?view_only=ac017ff0ac204ebea2a59bd7c5f67fce). The aim of the current study is to understand the processes underlying the results we have observed in that previous quantitative study on second year medical students’ well-being. This study will try to unravel why the experimental/intervention group in the previous study significantly benefited from the psycho-educational intervention they participated to. The way in which we are going to highlight these mechanisms is by conducting a qualitative thematic analysis of these students’ evaluation of the psycho-educational intervention. We are only going to analyze their evaluation, and not the control’s group one, because we want to understand why we observed a significant effect in the experimental group. |
