Popis: Bidens pilosa, beggar tick, occurs in all the tropical and subtropical regions of the world. In Brazil it is mainly used popularly in the treatment of jaundice and malaria. Other diseases and conditions in which it is used include rheumatism, asthma e conjunctivitis, hypertension fever, for infections both by bacteria and fungi, against ulcers, allergies and as a healing agent. These uses, which all have experimental support, appear to be associated principally with the presence in the plant of polyacetylenes and flavonoids.
