Summary Slip-sweep vibroseis data is often contaminated by cross-harmonic noise. In this paper, we present a new harmonic noise removal method for slip-sweep data. Using sweep parameters and the start times for each sweep, the method estimates cross-harmonic noise and then subtracts it from the record without degrading the desired signals. No ground force signal is required and the method can be applied to correlated data. Applications of this method on synthetic and field data prove its effectiveness and efficiency. |
