The investigation of transportation processes of particles is an important task of the marine research. To understand the nature of the Baltic Sea flow and sedimentation dynamic measurement systems are used to monitor for example temperature, salinity and velocity current as well as taking filtration probes to define ground places. This paper describes an autonomous system to measure temperature, pressure, current velocity, current direction and salinity of the shallow water. Additionally the system includes a 24-port filtration sampler for taking probes of particles transported in the water at previously defined events. The power save concept with an ultra-low-power-microcontroller MSP430 allows adoption times of up to 6 months with a limited capacity of power battery. |
