Popis: | THIS chart is a revision and extension of earlier charts [CHEM. ENG. NEWS, 22, 1992 (1944)]. The greatly increased number of resins, rubbers, and plastics in the present table reflects the tremendous expansion that has occurred in this field in recent years. There are several new resins whose compositions have not been disclosed, and several new raw materials not included in this table. The formulas for the polymers are necessarily abbreviated and not always entirely accurate. They are, however, typical structural units, from which the resin is formed. Trade marks or trade names are used to designate the polymers, rather than the chemical names. There has been no attempt to include all of the numerous trade names; only the more representative or familiar names have been included. Only United States trade names and materials are shown in the table. In a few cases the materials indicated must be regarded as typical rather than as the ... |
