Model of a Polymeric Stabilizer and Optimization of Its Compatibility with Wood

Popis: The structure and functionality of a reactive oligomer are characterized in terms of the adhesion, cohesion, and diffusion theories. The dimensions and chain-length distribution of the stabilizer are calculated using the fundamental aspects of adsorption of macromolecules on porous supports and result of an analysis of the capillary-pore system of wood. The statistical model obtained adequately reproduces the properties of stabilized wood over the investigated ranges of the process parameters.
