Popis: | Distinct differences in the emission spectra from the breakdown of HN3 are observed for transverse excitation of HN3 gas mixtures by ultraviolet (UV) preionization relative to pulsed microwave discharges. In the dc UV preionized discharges, electrode effects liberate metal atoms dominating the emission spectra while the NH(A‐X) band emission is absent. Pulsed microwave excitation incorporating an electrodeless quartz discharge region produces the NH(A‐X) emission but reduced by significant quenching. |
