Popis: This article deals with the introduction of environmental history to secondary school history classes in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It presents a series of obstacles that make this project a real challenge, as well as the opportunities and resources that are available to make it possible. The article introduces pedagogical tools and materials developed within the framework of the inter-university cooperation project entitled «Environmental History Education in Kivu. Didactics and awareness raising » which aims to link the scholarly knowledge resulting from historiographical research, the aims of environmental education or historical education, and finally the operations inherent to the teaching and construction of knowledge in the school environment.
