Popis: Computer-aided sperm analysis (CASA) has been applied in both human and nonhuman species reproductive laboratories for > 30 years. In the livestock industry CASA systems have proven to be useful for evaluating and monitoring ejaculate quality (concentration and motility) in breeder studs. In contrast to non-human species, the human ejaculate is contaminated by non-germ cell and debris, the consequence of which is to make difficult accurate and precise measurement of sperm concentration and % motile.
