Popis: | The results of a study of natural and synthetic carbon sorbents (CS) for extraction of nickel(II) ions from solutions are presented. The modification of sorbents by organic reagents (dimethylglyoxime and acethydrazidine) selectively interacting with nickel ions allowed increasing the sorption capacity to nickel by an average of one order of magnitude. The energy characteristics of possible structures of nickel complexes taking into account the solvation shells were calculated by the techniques of quantum chemistry ab initio. The starting and modified CS samples were studied by EPR spectroscopy before and after the sorption of nickel. Changes in the polyconjugated structure of sorbents in the processes of modification and adsorption were revealed. The mechanisms of sorption by the starting and modified sorbents including chemisorption, electrochemical, and various types of donor–acceptor interaction were proposed. |
