Popis: | A male worker, 29 years old, was engaged in construction work of World Ocean Exposition in Okinawa Perfecture, and was diagnosed as suffering from leptospirosis in September 1973. The leptospirosis was an acute infection caused by Leptospira hebdomadis. The parasite seemed to be transmitted to him by ingestion of food and drink contaminated with the urine and excreta of the reservoir animals in the unsanitary workshop and living environment in Okinawa district. This leptospirosis was determined as an occupational disease. |
