Popis: | This report gives a survey of the inviscid supersonic flow through a straight lattice row. The main subject of this paper is dedicated to the supersonic inlet and outlet flow at such a cascade. It is shown that the cascade flow behaviour is altered radically when the axial velocity component changes from supersonic to subsonic velocities or vice versa. As a special feature the difference between the upstream flow of a single profile or the exit flow of a single nozzle to that of an infinite cascade is outlined in detail. After summarizing different supersonic cascade design principles, the influence of the axial velocity density ratio is shown which leads to some remarkable effects in the investigations of cascade flow. |
