Popis: | The propagation of nonlinear quasimonocromatic Alfven waves with small but finite amplitude into an ideal astrophysical plasma is studied. Using the derivative expansion method in the third order MHD approximation, the perturbation components for the case in study are determined. It was also shown that, under certain conditions, the nonlinear Alfven waves are responsible for the appearance of shock waves into an astrophysical plasma. |
