Popis: | Summary Staphylococcus lugdunensis is a coagulase-negative staphylococcus, first described in 1988. It is responsible for about 20 cases of infective endocarditis. A new case of infective endocarditis on prosthetic aortic valve is described. Despite its susceptibility to all specific antibiotics tested, its high virulence and capacity to make vegetations should incite valve replacement precociously. It is the own way of a successful therapeutic. |
