Popis: | One-line summary: Field randomised controlled trial evaluating the impact of behaviourally informed emails at reducing electricity consumption during National Grid’s Demand Flexibility Service events. Objective: Communications about DFS events do not leverage intrinsic motivation to increase motivation of participants to participate in DFS events and to reduce their electricity. Instead, they currently rely on financial incentives. We believe that including non-financial motivations could increase participation and electricity reduction during events. There may be other behavioural barriers to participation and electricity reduction that could also be targeted by our interventions, such as forgetting about the events (we will undergo a review of behavioural barriers using the COM-B framework). Our objective is accordingly to develop behaviorally informed emails to increase opt-ins and increase electricity savings. |
