Some zeolites equilibrate all six dimethylanilines by 1,2-methyl shifts

Popis: Three zeolites, H-Omega, H-Beta and H-L equilibrate all six dimethylaniline isomers by intramolecular 1,2-methyl shifts. This contrasts with pentasils such as H-ZSM5 which only equilibrate the three smallest dimethylanilines and faujasites such as HY or amorphous silica-aluminas which catalyze intermolecular, electrophilic transalkylations. We also discuss new graphical methods which helped us analyze the kinetics of this complex reaction network.
