The effect of trifunctional additives in the initial products of polydimethyldiethysiloxane synthesis on the molecular and hydrodynamic parameters of the copolymeric system was studied. The light-scattering method, using a wide range of scattering angles and solution concentrations, was applied to establish the presence of branched macromolecules and microgels; their number and dimensions are determined by the content of the branching agent. The obtained data were confirmed by measurements of turbidity spectra of the polymer solutions. The presence of branched microstructures in the copolymers is independent of the nature of the initial components and of the method of synthesis. |
