Popis: | Osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee is an important cause of morbidity and significantly affects quality of life. A large proportion of the population seek medical attention for this condition. There is also a significant economic burden for the healthcare provider. This article covers the assessment of patients with OA and includes pertinent points in the history and examination. The various treatment options are discussed based on current guidelines and the published literature. The consent process for conservative and surgical treatments is also discussed in this article. |
