Robust Control applied to a Beam of Composite Material using Electromagnetic Actuators

Popis: This research proposes the active vibration control in a beam of composite material using electromagnetic actuators. The used control theory was the robust control, specifically the linear quadratic regulator solved by linear matrix inequalities that proposes the possibility of optimization of physical quantity by means the adoption of a performance index. The electromagnetic actuator is characterized by a nonlinear behavior. The advantage of this actuator is that applies control force without mechanical contact. From simulations, the results of the frequency response function in the first two modes were attenuated, demonstrating the efficiency of the technique proposed in the active control of vibrations in a beam of composite material.
