Popis: This paper presents the results of mapping Rugozerskaya Bay of the White Sea, based on geophysical and direct observations data, and conclusions about the limits of applicability of geophysical methods for the area. In world practice, of environmental engineering problems are given great attention, so the issues of studying the structure and distribution of sediments and biotopes are traditional. The data were procured during a interdisciplinary marine traning in 2010. For mapping we used the following methods: high-resolution seismic (method of continuous seismic profiling), sidescan sonar, sampling and underwater observations, including underwater photo and video. As a result, complex interpretation of the information obtained by direct methods was extended to the entire study area using geophysical data. The data used sonar to map lithological and biological differences; seismoacoustic given the opportunity to compare the ancient structures with the modern landscape.
