Voltage-controlled magnetic anisotropy and Dzyaloshinskii−Moriya interactions in CoNi/MgO and CoNi/Pd/MgO

Popis: | Magnetic anisotropy and Dzyaloshinskii−Moriya interactions are essential ingredients in magnetic thin films for device applications. We perform spin-wave spectroscopy to study the influence of the number of 3d electrons on voltage-controlled magnetic anisotropy and voltage-controlled Dzyaloshinskii−Moriya interactions at the Co1-x Ni x /MgO and Co1-x Ni x /Pd/MgO interfaces. Both voltage-induced changes were found to increase with decreasing Ni content in the two systems, with pure Co showing the largest changes. These results are fundamental to the development of voltage-driven spintronic devices based on the (Co, Ni)/MgO system. |
