Popis: | The stimulated scattering by fine-scale refractive index inhomogeneities in fullerene-containing media is theoretically investigated. The stimulated scattering can lead to a significant attenuation of the far field axial intensity of the passed beam and to additional (along with reverse saturating absorption) limiting of the output power. The difference between the degrees of optical limiting in liquid and solid matrices is explained. We also explained the absence of scattering when pulse duration is sufficiently short. The dependence of stimulated scattering contribution to optical limiting on laser radiation parameters is studied. The angular distribution of scattered radiation is presented. The comparison with experiment is performed. |
