Popis: | Varicocele is considered the most identifiable cause of infertility in men and may be present in 15% of boys by the age of 15. An exaggerated response to gonadotropin to GnRH stimulation may be an early indicator of gonadal damage. In addition, studies have identified serum inhibin B as a physiological marker of testicular function in adult men and as a suppressant of FSH production. However, the role of inhibin B as regulator of FSH as well as a marker of early testicular damage has not been elucidated in adolescents with varicocele. |
