Popis: A knowledge of the anatomy is important when considering therapeutic interventions such as embolization for hemorrhage. The main arteries of the alimentary tract are the celiac axis, superior mesenteric artery and inferior mesenteric artery. The main venous drainage are tributaries of the portal vein, which is also the main blood supply to the liver. Ultrasound, CTA, MRA, and catheter angiography all have important roles in imaging of the vasculature of the alimentary tract.
