Popis: | The discourse of Europe in the lyrics of the poetry of the Ukrainian emigrant writer Mykhailo Sytnyk is reviewed in this article. Historical and existential motives in the works of war and postwar periods – the time of the artist’s stay in the Western Europe – are analyzed. It is investigated that the European themes of Sytnykʼs lyric poetry are built, first of all, on the contrast: foreign country – native land, which is the most complete expression of the authorʼs intentions, his existential perception of everything that does not fit into the system of spiritual values associated with his native land and archetypal concept of «Family and Home» |
