Popis: | Dr. Herrnheiser, consultant radiologist to the Connaught and the St. Margaret's Hospitals, London, and a former Professor of Radiology at the German University of Prague, died suddenly on May 13. He was born in 1890 in Prague, and studied medicine at the University Medical School there, and also at Munich. After graduating M.D. in 1914 he spent seven years in post-graduate work in Prague; at the morbid anatomy department under Ghon and at the department of internal medicine under Jaksch v. Wartenhorst. In 1920, on the advice of Jaksch, he decided to train in radiology, and he joined the radiological department of the University Medical School in Vienna under Holzknecht. Five years later he returned to Prague as Dozent in radiology to the German University Medical School, and in 1931 he was appointed to the chair of radiology. |
