Popis: | Rheological behavior of stainless steel (316L) feedstock has been investigated with the help of a rotational rheometer. A wax-based binder is designed to prepare the feedstock for micro-Metal Injection Molding (µ-MIM). The prepared feedstock shows shear thinning behavior. Shear jump and hysteresis test have been carried out to investigate their effects on feedstock viscosity. Micro channels having 186-micron pitch distance and 15-micron height on a substrate of size 15×5.88×0.49 mm is injected and subsequently, debound and sintered successfully. This finding would help to achieve a good quality product. |
