Popis: | γ-Cd(OH)2 was reported to be an aquoxy-hydroxide of formulae: Cd2O(OH)2 · H2O (Riou et al., 1990). From IR and Raman spectroscopic studies, it is revealed that γ-Cd(OH)2 is really a common hydroxide. There are three different OH− ions. One forms relatively strong OH…OH hydrogen bonds (OH stretching mode 3247 cm−1), the other (3588 and 3531 cm−1) are not involved in H-bonds. Both the possibility of coexistence of O2− and H2O and distinction of H2O and OH− in solids are discussed. |
