Popis: | The activity of five enzymes was examined during sexual morphogenesis of Schizophyllum commune. Four of the enzymes showed significant differences in specific activity when the hymenium and spores were compared. Where applicable, the enzyme activity of the spores represented a return to the level of activity found in the vegetative stage. When the activity of the enzymes was examined in sporulation-inhibited fruit bodies, the changes in specific activity associated with sporulation did not occur in the inhibited hymenium. Since the inhibition(s) is known to occur late in the sporulation process, the evidence suggests that the changes in enzyme activity also occur at a late stage. |
