Popis: 1. Dibenzomethylphosphonyl-14-crown-5 in the crystalline state has a conformation with unaligned orientation of the unshared electron pairs of the donor atoms. 2. A conformation more favorable for complexation is realized in solution in addition to the above structure. This may account for the antiarrhythmic properties of this compound.
