Popis:	School nurses were central to the UK schools’ BCG vaccination programme. Its re-structuring in 2005 from a universal to a targeted, risk-based one caused confusion as well as concern that their role would be eroded. This article outlines the changing epidemiology of TB in the UK that led to the shift in BCG policy and clarifies the eligibility criteria for vaccination.
